Performance

Pop the hood and find a 3.6-L V-6 engine that delivers 305 hp and 269 lb.-ft. of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive.   If you want a different engine, then check out the 5.7-L V-8 engine. You'll get 395 hp and can tow up to 8,240 lbs. The maximum payload capacity is 1,923 lbs.

Design

The exterior design of the Ram 1500 Classic truck sticks with a more basic appearance, which can be defined as a classic look. There is a black grille, black door handles, an optional black front bumper, and a body-coloured rub strip. It's similar to the Black-out Appearance Package that many pay extra for. Other exterior packages you can upgrade to include:  

  • Black Ram 1500 Express Group Package -- The 20" semi-gloss black aluminum wheels will make you stand above the crowd, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment display is a bonus. Dual-zone control for the air conditioning keeps everyone comfortable.
  • Chrome Appearance Group -- This includes 17" aluminum wheels with a shinier front bumper, silver grille, and bright rear bumper.
  • Chrome Appearance Group w/Body Color Fascia -- Look stylish in 17" aluminum wheels paired with the same body colour on the upper fascia.
  These packages add some style and extra features to the truck. Check with your sales associate about what all extra features you'll get with these appearance packages.

Safety

With the 2021 Ram 1500 Classic the safety features are mainly basic but well-structured. Airbags surround the cab and keep you protected, and seatbelt pre-tensions are standard. You can upgrade to get a theft-deterrent alarm system if you want.

Infotainment

The Uconnect system will allow you to integrate your smart phone. However, this is an optional feature and doesn't come standard.
