In 2023 the Jeep Grand Cherokee will be available in six models. Jeep decided to leave the Trailhawk out of the line-up and have made this trim only available in the 2022 4xe range. The manufacturer kept the two engine configurations and made subtle tweaks to each of the six trims for 2023.
You can still look forward to the tremendous style and luxurious creature comforts for which Jeep is best known. With a host of safety and technology features with exceptional off-roading capabilities, Jeep remains a strong contender as one of the best SUVs of all time. Let’s see what’s new.
Models and Pricing
As mentioned above, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in six models. The Laredo has a starting price of $53,045. Middle models include the Altitude, Limited, Overland, and Summit. Starting prices range from $57,045 to $75,540. The top-of-the-range Summit Reserve has a starting price tag of $79,845.
Engines and Performance
All 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokees come standard with Jeep’s signature and unique Quadra-Trac. The Quadra-Trac system senses where more power is needed in uneven terrain and distributes the torque to the wheels. Quadra-Trac I comes standard in the Limited, Altitude, and Laredo. The Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve have Quadra-Trac II technology.
In addition, the Summit and Summit Reserve come standard with Jeep’s rear-slip differential technology. Jeep’s slip-differential technology further assists the Quadra-Trac system by efficiently applying more power to the wheels, maximizing traction, and limiting wheelspin.
All models are available in four-wheel drive, and you can choose between two engines. You can opt for the 3.6L Pentastar V6 or the 5.7L Pentastar V8. The V8 produces a maximum power of 390 lb-ft torque and 357 hp. The smaller V6 can kick out a maximum power of 260 lb-ft and 293 hp.
Key Features
All trims have great standard features, including 43.2cm wheels, LED headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and roof rails. The Laredo also comes standard with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Included in the Limited are upgraded Capri leather rear and front seats. If you opt for the Overland, then you’ll get a hands-free liftgate, ambient lighting throughout the cabin, Nappa leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Upgrading to the Summit Reserve includes a 590-watt amplifier and 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.
Technology
All 2023 Grand Cherokee models have a 21.3cm Uconnect touchscreen, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, second row USB ports, a 26cm instrument panel, and Android and Apple mobile compatibility. Base models also come standard with a six-speaker sound system.
Safety
All trims come with a host of standard driver assistance aids, including systems that sense forward impending collisions, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear sensors to assist with parking the SUV. Upper trims include Jeep’s automated parking system, which enables the SUV to park in tight spots without any driver intervention.
